PrereleaseKnoxville Public Safety Collaborative, Knoxville Police Department, and the Tennessee Board of Probation and Parole
Prior to an individual’s release from prison, community corrections officers, social service providers, and police work together to formulate case management plans for individuals who are at risk of committing a new crime upon release from prison to the community. Members of the team develop a comprehensive case plan for an individual before the individual is released to make sure that he or she receives the services needed to help decrease his or her recidivism risk.
